Buying 'frenzy' pushes San Francisco's median home price to record $1.61 million

San Francisco's median home price surged to a new record of $1.61 million in the first quarter, amid falling supply and the booming tech industry. Homes prices were up almost 24 percent from the first quarter of 2017's median price of $1.3 million, according to Multiple Listings Service data analyzed by brokerage Paragon Real Estate.
