The mountain town west of Charlotte has earned yet another accolade, this time landing on the annual Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being Index as the happiest city in North Carolina. Asheville ranked No. 19 among the happiest places nationwide, placing as the highest in the Tar Heel State. Durham came in at No. 21 on the ranking. The Gallup ranking comes on the heels of Asheville being dubbed by GQ magazine as "the coolest city you've never been to."
