New York City's African-American neighborhoods are banking on Airbnb

There are more than 7,000 Airbnb hosts in predominantly African-American neighborhoods throughout New York City. According to data compiled by the San Francisco-based home sharing network, provided exclusively to the New York Business Journal, these hosts earned roughly $70 million in 2917 — a 63 percent rise from 2016.
