Nashville’s growing home prices are dwarfing paycheck increases

A new report out today confirms that home prices are growing faster in Nashville than the area’s wages. Citing a new report from Attom Data Solutions, The Tennessean reports that Nashville home prices are up 8 percent since 2017, compared to a 2 percent increase in income. Out of 130 counties nationwide with at least 500,000 residents, Nashville ranked as the seventh least-affordable in Attom’s report, according to The Tennessean. Attom’s full report is available here.
